Service Desk Helpers and Nursery Workers

Johnnie Johnson
Johnnie has been a member of Trinity even before we had a name or had officially formed. She was at the first meeting to discuss the need for a new church and the group agreed one was needed. Johnnie was the first nursery director starting at Lake Norman Elementary school by setting up in the hall. Her service in this capacity continued until 2019. She, along with a former member, had the pleasure of preparing our nursery and toddler rooms with the completion of our new building. Since 2019 she continued to serve in Sunday School serving at the check in desk and in the Infant and toddler room. Being a part of serving in this area and seeing the young from infants to fifth grader come to learn about Jesus. Johnnie says, “This has been my honor and joy to serve God in this way.” Johnnie has served in the nursery for the past 30+ years and says, “If you want a blessing serve in this area.”

Jan Andras
Jan and her husband have been members of Trinity since moving here 4 years ago from CT. They have two sons and a daughter plus a granddaughter and grandson. Her happy place is here at Trinity Baptist Church Weekday Pre-School where she is blessed to work in the Mother’s Morning Out class for 1-2 year old children. In her hometown church she served as Sunday School Director, teacher, church secretary and nursery worker. Her favorite verse is 1 Peter 5:7 “casting all your cares upon Him, for he cares for you”.

Sandy Helton
Sandy, along with her family, have been members of Trinity Baptist for 9 ½ years. She has served in the Children’s Ministry teaching and caring for children of different ages. She has enjoyed helping with VBS props/decorations, as well as teaching pre-school children of God’s love for them during VBS. be greeted by a friendly face and a warm welcome to Trinity’s Children’s Ministry. Sandy is happy to be part of a team that enjoys making families feel at home and to provide them the information they need to help guide their children to their respective age-appropriate class where they’ll be greeted by caring teachers. One of her favorite life verses is Ephesians 3:20, 21 which says: Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generation forever and ever. Amen. When Sandy is not serving at the Children’s Service Desk, she attends the Berean Sunday School Class taught by Lee Burge and Roger Wood. It is a very caring and active adult class that enjoys going beneath the surface of God’s Word, reaches out to its members, and uses varied teaching styles and tools to execute Sunday lessons.
Kendra Brown
Kendra and her family have been at trinity for 8 years. Throughout this time, she has served in our nursery, children’s church, VBS and Sunday School desk. Her favorite verse is Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God”

Debbie Watson
Debbie has attended Sunday School since she was a baby. She has been married to her husband Allen for 52 years and they have been members of Trinity Baptist for 7 years. Debbie & Allen have two sons that are married to wonderful ladies, who have blessed them with six awesome grandsons. Ministry in the Nursery: I remember as a young mother thinking church nursery was a brilliant concept. I had two hours of free baby-sitting from some sweet, Godly ladies in our church while I got to grow in my faith and knowledge of the Bible with my friends and worship my Savior. I call that a win-win! Now I have the opportunity to do this for the young married couples at Trinity. My favorite Bible passage is found in Philippians 4:6-8 – “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication and with thanksgiving, let your request be made to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.”

Fay Freeze
Faye is a Mooresville native, has been a member of Trinity for about 15 years and a Christian for 60 years. She is a widow with one daughter and lots of siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. She serves in the choir, in the Loving Hands ministry, and helps with various other ministries and mission opportunities. She is thrilled to see young Christians coming to Trinity to be a part of our church family. One favorite promise from the Bible is
2 Chronicles 7:14 -If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.

Vonnie Collins
Vonnie has been a member of Trintiy since the second Sunday they met! She has lived her entire life in Mooresville and has two wonderful sons. Vonnie has worked in numerous areas in the church including, Girls in Action, Nursery Helper and Vacation Bible School. Vonnie says, “It is a pleasure to take care of our babies so that the young parents can spend time in Sunday School with others studying God’s Word.
One of her favorite Bible verses is Romans 12:4 ,5 – For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
